Homemade Bloody Mary mix that is so simple to mix up and is so much better than premix! It'll be your new favorite cocktail to kick off weekend brunch! The best Bloody Mary mix starts with tomato juice and Clamato, then is infused with tons of flavor from fresh lemon and lime juice, pickle juice, Worcestershire, and a touch of heat from hot sauce and horseradish! You'll be coming back to this recipe over and over!
¼teaspooncelery salt, plus more for rimming the glass
pinch of salt and pepper(to taste)
lemon or lime wedge for rimming the glaass
your favorite garnishes
Run a lemon or lime wedge around the rim of a tall glass. Dip the rim of the glass into a shallow bowl with celery salt.
Add all of the ingredients and stir together. Feel free to tweak the ingredients to your personal preference. For example, I know some people like a strong pickle juice flavor while others prefer the flavor to be more subtle.
Top the drink off with ice and your favorite garnishes. Cheers!
To make a Bloody Mary pitcher:*makes 5-6 cocktails
32 ounces tomato juice
12 ounces Clamato
2 ounces pickle juice
1 ounce lemon juice
½ ounce lime juice
½ tablespoon Worcestershire
½ - 1 tablespoon hot sauce (or to taste)
½ - 1 tablespoon horseradish (or to taste)
½ tablespoon celery salt
½ - 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
about ½ teaspoon black pepper
Mix together all of the above ingredients in a large pitcher. Then mix in 8-10 ounces of vodka or set out a bottle of vodka and a shot glass to allow people to pour their own.
