Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons real maple syrup (not pancake syrup)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground sage
  • ¼ teaspoon ground thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients until just combined.
  • Use your hands to form 5-6 patties.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties about 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.

Notes

Oven baked directions:
Preheat oven to 375° F and line a baking sheet with tinfoil. Place patties on foil (not touching) and bake for 10 minutes, flip patties, and bake another 7-10 minutes until cooked through to 165° F. If desired, broil on high for a few minutes to brown the patties.
To freeze un-cooked patties:
Once you have your patties formed, stack patties about 2-3 high with squares of parchment paper between each patty so that they don’t stick. Place in Ziploc freezer bags and lay flat in freezer. Freeze up to 3 months. To cook patties, remove your desired quantity from the freezer and thaw in the fridge overnight. Cook as directed above.
To freeze cooked patties:
Cook patties as directed above and then let cool completely. Stack patties about 2-3 high with squares of parchment paper between each patty so that they don’t stick. Place in Ziploc freezer bags and lay flat in freezer. Freeze up to 3 months. To reheat patties, thaw in the fridge overnight and reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop until heated through.
