4-Ingredient Cinnamon Sugar Donuts

15-minute cinnamon sugar donuts made from biscuit dough! Quick, easy and loved by all!

  • 1 can Pillsbury Grands Southern Homestyle Biscuits
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Vegetable oil for frying


  • Heat ½ - 1 inch of oil in a large skillet or pan with tall sides over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes or until oil is hot enough to cook the biscuits without soaking up too much oil.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar. In a separate small bowl, melt the butter.
  • Separate biscuits and press a bottle cap into the center of each biscuit to cut out a small circle. Keep the centers to fry as donut holes!
  • When the oil is heated, begin frying the donuts and donut holes by placing a few at a time into the heated oil. Cook until the bottom of the donuts turn golden, then flip and cook the other side. Total cook time will be about 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove the donuts from the oil and place on a paper towel lined plate to absorb some of the oil. While still warm, dip all sides of the donuts in the melted butter then into the cinnamon sugar until all sides are covered. Enjoy while warm!


*A good way to test if the oil is hot enough is to hold a wooden spoon into the oil, and if the oil starts to bubble around the wood, then the oil is ready.
