Juicy Air Fryer Bone-In Pork Chops

Rachel Riesgraf
Air fryer bone-in pork chops are the perfect way to get a nice crispy crust on the outside of your pork chops while keeping the inside tender and juicy. Seasoned with a quick and simple homemade dry rub that's made with chili powder and smoked paprika for a hint of smokey spice and brown sugar for a touch of sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 4 thick-cut bone-in pork chops (1 ½ - 2 inches thick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 ½ tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika or regular paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground thyme

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  • Pat the pork chops dry with paper towel then brush all over with olive oil.
  • In a small bowl, mix together your seasoning blend. Sprinkle generously on both sides of the pork chops.
  • Transfer pork chops to the air fryer. Don't overlap the chops. Work in batches if needed. Cook for 12-15 minutes depending on the thickness of the pork chops and your desired internal temperature (see notes). It's best to use a meat thermometer!
  • Remove to a plate and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Rare: 140°F.
Medium-rare: 145-150°F.
Medium: 150-155°F.
Medium-well: 155-160°F.
Well: 160°F.
I like to cook my pork chops to 150°F, then let rest until they reach 155°F. They're no longer pink on the inside, but still tender and juicy.
